Calpe Promenade and Port
Two kilometers between sea, history, and ships, to live the Mediterranean.
The Paseo begins next to Playa del Arenal-Bol and stretches until it reaches the Port of Calpe, a route that combines sea, people, Roman ruins, lively terraces, and one of the best views of the Peñón de Ifach.
It’s a promenade that’s always alive. Families with ice cream, late afternoon runners, fishermen unloading their catch, and tourists stopping every five meters to take photos. And yes, the panoramic views justify it, with the sea in front, the Peñón to one side, and the constant sound of the water.
What you see along the way
Baños de la Reina: an excavated Roman site in rock that reminds you that this sea has been part of life here for centuries.
Playa del Arenal-Bol: long, urban, perfect for stopping to drink something or walking barefoot if you feel like it.
Fishing and yacht harbor: the end of the promenade and the beginning of another story.
At the port
The port is divided into two areas:
The fishing zone, which still operates at its own pace and where you can see the active market.
The nautical zone, with the Real Club Náutico de Calpe as the center of activity: sailing school, rowing, snorkeling, and boats of all kinds coming and going all day.
And if you get hungry (which you will), you’re in the perfect place. There are restaurants with fresh seafood, rice from Senyoret, and local fish served simply, without embellishments or fuss.
