Cookie Information

In accordance with Law 34/2002, of July 11, on services of the information society and electronic commerce (LSSI), in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on Data Protection and Digital Rights Guarantee (LOPDGDD), it is mandatory to obtain the user's explicit consent for all websites using optional cookies, before the user navigates through them.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels, are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site.

Using these devices allows the web server to remember certain data related to the user, such as preferences for viewing pages on that server, username and password, products of most interest, etc.

Cookies affected by legislation and exempt cookies

According to EU directive, cookies that require informed user consent are analytical and advertising/affiliate cookies, while cookies of a technical nature and those necessary for the proper functioning of the website or the provision of explicitly requested services are exempt.

Types of cookies according to purpose

Technical and functional cookies: enable the user to browse a website, platform, or application and use the different options or services available.

Analytical cookies: allow the owner to monitor and analyze user behavior on linked websites. Information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure activity on websites, applications, or platforms and to create user navigation profiles to improve services based on usage data analysis.

Advertising cookies: enable the management, in the most effective way possible, of advertising spaces that the publisher has included on a webpage, application, or platform, based on criteria such as content or ad frequency.

Behavioral advertising cookies: collect information about the user's personal preferences and choices (retargeting) to manage advertising spaces more effectively where the publisher has included them.

Social cookies: set by social networks to allow sharing content with friends and networks. Social media platforms can track your online activity outside their services, which may affect the content and messages you see on other services you visit.

Affiliate cookies: allow tracking of visits originating from other websites with which the site establishes an affiliation contract (affiliate companies).

Security cookies: store encrypted information to prevent data stored in them from being vulnerable to malicious attacks by third parties.

According to ownership

Own cookies: those sent to the user's device from a device or domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third-party cookies: those sent to the user's device from a device or domain not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that treats the data obtained through cookies.

According to retention period

Session cookies: a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a webpage.

Persistent cookies: a type of cookie where data remains stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie owner, ranging from a few minutes to several years.
