Prince of Asturias Ecological Walk
A pathway by the sea, at the foot of the Peñón.
You don't have to climb to the top of Peñón to enjoy it. At its feet, right where the water begins to touch, is this trail: the Paseo Ecológico Príncipe de Asturias. A short, accessible path with some of the best views of the coastline without any steep slopes or vertigo.
It starts at the port of Calpe and extends approximately 1.5 kilometers between the rock and the sea. Everything is adapted with walkways and viewpoints, and the route is as simple as it is rewarding. It's ideal if you want to walk effortlessly, breathe in the sea breeze, and see the Peñón from below, which is also impressive.
What you'll encounter
Cala El Racó
Almost at the start. Made of white stone, turquoise waters, perfect for a dip or a stop to enjoy the views.
Natural viewpoints
As you progress, the trail opens to the Arenal bay, offering clear, obstacle-free panoramas.
End of the path
It ends at the base of the most vertical cliffs of the Peñón, where the sea and the rock meet unfiltered.
