6 Hidden Coves in Alicante
If you're looking for hidden spots to relax or practice your favorite water sports, you can't miss this new publication. We'll show you the best hidden coves in Alicante! But… what else can you expect from them? Characteristic marine fauna, natural trails to discover on foot, and waters filled with their special turquoise blue.
Hidden coves you must not miss
Cala Gasparet of Calpe
One of the most remote in the south of the Calpe municipality. Just for its magnificent location, it had to be included in this list. A cove that is not crowded and very peaceful; in fact, the only way to access it is via the sea. It is a very small cove with just about 40 meters in length. An unforgettable experience!
Cala Pinets of Benissa
One of the most impressive coves in Benissa. It reminds us of a little paradise in the heart of the Mediterranean. It has a gravel beach and a sandy beach, both perfectly matching its transparent waters. If you're approaching on foot, you can access it from the nearby Playa de La Fustera. You can also reach it by car or motorcycle.

Although it doesn't have the usual services of beaches and coves, it is a perfect place for marine sports such as diving and sailing. The local fauna and flora are unique, like its red anemones and extensive Posidonia seaweed beds.
Very close to this cove, you'll find Mar Muerta and Rocas Negras. Sounds strange, right? But it's a very special place. These are rocky formations that create a shallow natural pool. Definitely ideal for children. If you go there, don't hesitate to stop for a second to observe the effects on the rocks as they enter the sea with reddish tones.
Cala Mascarat of Altea
When you think of Altea, the first thing that comes to mind is its marvelous old town. But its surroundings are not far behind. In fact, it hides the small Cala Mascarat. A cobblestone beach, without sand and with boulders that create a perfect setting to disconnect.

Cala del Mallorquí of Calpe
One of the little corners of the ecological trail that connects with Calpe. It is very close to Cala Calalga and is located just before reaching the famous Cala de les Bassetes.
It is a very small cove, only 30 meters long and almost untouched. Perfect for diving thanks to its rocks and gravel. Its access is very easy, just descend the path from the Voramar trail, which is signposted. Down the trail, you'll come across a unique postcard of the north face of the Peñón d'Ifach.
Cala de La Llobella of Benissa
A very seldom visited cove, making it an essential hidden corner on this list. The vegetation reaches right to the shore, which is outlined by stone boulders and rock slabs. Perfect for peacefulness and solitude.
It lacks any services, as expected in a cove of this nature, but this makes it such a special spot for complete discretion.
Cala Llebeig of Benitatxell
Although it is located near the cliff route of Poble Nou in Benitatxell, it remains an intimate spot with incredible views. An awl! What keeps it as a hidden spot is its difficult access, which is why many people still do not know about it.

Now that you know the hidden coves in Alicante… it’s just time to start exploring them! None of these spots will disappoint you.
