Miradores de Alicante, enjoy the views!

Miradores of Alicante, enjoy with the views!

What makes our province stand out is its privileged location and its status as an enclave with excellent direct views of the Mediterranean Sea. That’s why we want you to not miss the best viewpoints in Alicante.

Throughout this post, we present the route we have mapped around the Costa Blanca so you won't miss any of them. Get your camera ready because the views are worth it!

Ready, set... GO!

First stop: El Albir, a very special viewpoint

On the first stop of the tour, we visit the Faro del Albir. It is a simple and paved route in the northern area of the Parque Natural de Serra Gelada (Benidorm) that leads us to the Centro de Interpretación Faro del Albir, located 112 meters above sea level. From here, you will have privileged views of the entire Altea bay, its fish farm, and the cliffs of the Sierra. Don’t miss it!

Route through the Sierra Helada

Landing in... ¡Altea!

Who doesn’t enjoy wandering through the narrow streets of this beautiful town? Well, in Altea, you will find several viewpoints from which you can contemplate the beautiful views offered by this coastal village.

Old Town of Altea

The most popular is the Mirador Cronistas de España, also known as the Mirador de la Plaza de la Iglesia, located right in the center of this town. It’s a must-see thing to see in Altea! Just a few streets down, you'll find the Mirador del Portal Viejo, smaller than the previous one but full of charm. The route doesn’t end here, as there’s another called Mirador de Santa Bárbara. All of them are perfect for visualizing the contrast between the sea and the characteristic white houses.

If your plans include visiting Altea, remember there’s a mandatory stop at these three viewpoints, from which you'll get a magnificent perspective of the entire Altea bay and Calpe coast.

Next stop: Calpe

This municipality on the Mediterranean Coast stands out among many other things for its beaches and, above all, for the imposing Peñón de Ifach, which divides them: the Arenal Bol beach and the La Fossa beach.

If you’re into lively atmospheres, we encourage you to climb the 332 meters of the Parque Natural del Peñón de Ifach or at least ascend to a small viewpoint located halfway up. The panoramic view from up here is breathtaking. You won’t regret it! For many, this is their favorite viewpoint in Alicante.

From the heights of this rock, surrounded by blue, you will feel like a bird. Plus, you can see the entire Calpe skyline: its port, the two beaches, and even the Paraje Natural de Las Salinas. An absolute treat for the senses!

Views from the Top of Peñón d'Ifach

If you still have energy, don’t miss the views offered by the Mirador del Morro de Toix, also in Calpe. You can drive up to this viewpoint, no problem. Our recommendation is to visit at sunset to see Calpe and its Peñón from a different perspective. From here, you can watch the sun hide and a whole series of colors fill the sky mixed with the blue of the sea. You will be speechless!

Continuing to Benissa

We say goodbye to Calpe and head towards this inland town in Marina Alta, Benissa. At the entrance, we find the Mirador del Molins, offering a panoramic view of Calpe’s coast and its Peñón. This viewpoint is perfect for a break on your way, whether by car, bike, or on foot. It’s well-maintained and has several wooden benches to rest.

Next destination… ¡Moraira!

Did you know that Moraira has seven beaches? In addition, it offers a 5km walking route through each of them, called ruta de los miradores, which starts at Playa El Portet and ends at Calle Túnez.

Moraira Viewpoints

The first one we encounter along this route is the Mirador del Portixol, perfect for admiring the entire Mediterranean coast. Continuing through its historic center and its 18th-century castle, we reach the beach L'Ampolla, and discover the Mirador de les Tosqueres, which offers an incredible view of this beach and the castle. Finally, we arrive at the last point, the cove L'Andragó, and the viewpoint sharing its name: Mirador de L'Andragó. It provides an astonishing landscape of Moraira and its crystal-clear waters.

Moving on to Benitachell

If there’s one thing that characterizes Poble Nou de Benitatxell, it’s its essence of contrasts: coast and interior, beaches and cliffs, hills and tourist zones. You can explore this town through the ten viewpoints that make it up to enjoy them all.

Views from Cala Moraig Viewpoint

Some of the highlights include: the Mirador Cala Moraig, the most well-known in Benitatxell, which gives its name to its pebble beach with transparent water. There is an amazing route, perfect for hiking while enjoying the landscape. The trail runs from this cala to the Cala dels Testos, which names another of these viewpoints. But without a doubt, you can’t miss the Mirador Poble Nou de Benitatxell, which will surprise you with its spectacular panoramic view of this municipality in Marina Alta. Highly recommended!

Last stop: Jávea

Besides being one of the favorite destinations for tourists, Jávea is also one of the most paradisiacal and Instagrammable spots on the Costa Blanca, and rightly so.

Like Benitatxell, Jávea has a route consisting of 15 viewpoints to fall more in love (or even more) with the Mediterranean. Whether you're on vacation or just for the day, you must visit some of these direct-to-sea balconies. We suggest three of them. Their views will impress you!

Located to the north is the Mirador del Cabo de San Antonio. Known for being a privileged spot within the Natural Reserve and one of the most famous in Jávea for its breathtaking views.

Surrounded by vegetation and crowned with a cross that gives it its name, in Jávea you can visit the Mirador de la Cruz de Portixol. From this point, some hiking routes start through the bay.

And, if you enjoy watching sunsets, don’t miss the Mirador del Cabo de la Nao. One of the best spots the Costa Blanca offers to enjoy the vastness of the Mediterranean Sea. Pure tranquility!

Bringing the journey to an end

If you enjoyed this tour of the viewpoints of Alicante as much as we did, don’t hesitate to start exploring each of these magical corners of the Costa Blanca and enjoy from different points the majestic Mediterranean. What are you waiting for?
