Benissa Ecological Walk
Four kilometers along the sea, among hidden coves, pines almost touching the water, and benches to sit and reflect.
Walking along the Paseo Ecológico de Benissa is not just about taking a route; it’s about drifting along one of the most beautiful and well-maintained sections of the Costa Blanca. The entire trail (about 4 kilometers) runs right by the sea, with easy access, open views, and coves that appear as if by magic.
The route is divided into two sections: north and south, and officially begins at the Oficina de Turismo de Benissa Playa, on Avenida de la Marina. But in reality, you can join at any point. It is a gentle path, without steep inclines, with resting areas, wooden benches, and even picnic spots. Perfect for enjoying at a relaxed pace, with family, as a couple, or alone.
If you visit in summer, don't forget your swimsuit, as there are plenty of opportunities to take a dip. If you come in winter, the sunset light is another spectacle. The entire walk is marked and has the Blue Path designation, ensuring its maintenance and accessibility.
It starts strong, with the Playa de la Fustera, continues along the wild Cala dels Pinets (from where you can detour to the Roques Negres, reddish formations that look like they’re from another planet), and proceeds through:
Closer to Calpe and offering privileged views of the Peñón de Ifach. Passes by the Cala de les Bassetes, a place of ecological value due to its small marine reserve.
The entire stroll is a way to enjoy the sea without needing to lie down. Here, it’s about walking, observing, and breathing.
