Cala la Calalga

Located in the north of Calpe, near La Fosa beach and next to the Calalga park. It has every service you can expect, such as eco-toilets, a city bus, rescue services, or a sea condition flag. 

Playa de Levante or La Fossa

This is an urban beach filled with services thanks to its seafront promenade, where you can find restaurants and all kinds of shops. It is located north of the Peñón de Ifach and has been awarded the Blue Flag. 

Cala La Manzanera

A less known spot and that is its advantage—the tranquility you will find in this amphitheater-shaped cove. From the water, you won’t lose sight of the Ricardo Bofill’s Red Wall. A different environment to discover the seagrass of its waters. On the other hand, it does not have official services, although you will find boat patrols and beaconing.

Cala del Metge

This cove can be found in the municipality of El Albir, very close to Calpe. Although it is not easily accessible, it is highly valued by snorkel lovers for its numerous marine species and beautiful bottoms. Without a doubt, a visit worth making. Moreover, it is immersed in nature as it belongs to the Parque Natural de la Sierra Gelada.

Cala El Racó

This cove is known for being the starting point of the ecological walk Príncipe de Asturias. It is located at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach, making it an ideal spot for diving. It is a cove equipped to host this sport, with beaconing, walkways, eco-toilets, and rescue services. 

Cala del Penyal

This small cove is located in a completely natural setting. a pristine rocky cove perfect for diving in total harmony with the sea. It also has easy access thanks to a small trail on the north face of the Peñón de Ifach.

Cala Gasparet

If you are experienced in snorkeling and want to discover a less common place, south of Calpe you have this cove. The extensive silhouette of the Sierra de Toix creates the marine bottom. Access is limited to boats; that is, you can only reach it by sea. Because of this, the cove does not have any services.

Underwater Path of Calpe

In addition to all these coves, Calpe also has a very special place for diving that not all towns have—it's the underwater trail! It consists of a route beneath the sea adapted and prepared for snorkel practice. The length of the underwater trail is 120 meters and it can be discovered starting at Cala El Racó, which we mentioned earlier. To identify the route, there are five informational panels just one meter deep each, to facilitate the information they contain. The content of the panels corresponds to data about species and the Posidonia oceanica meadow covering the seafloor. Additionally, there is a nearby terrestrial panel with the trail outline.
