Benitachell Lookouts
Eight places to stop, take a deep breath, and understand why the sea here is not just the sea, it's landscape, silence, and horizon.
If you're spending a few days here, we recommend a viewpoint route. There are no designer railings or informational plaques here. Just sea, rock, and a place to stop without needing to do anything else.
1. Mirador del Moraig
Overlooking the cove of the same name. Turquoise water, cliffs, and a silence that fills everything. If you choose only one, make it this one.
2. Cantal de Gener
Very high. Infinite. Here, the Mediterranean extends as far as your sight (or your binoculars) allow. You can see the LIC Penya-segats de la Marina system.
3. Mirador dels Testos
One of the most special. From here, Cala dels Testos on one side, and Cala del Moraig on the other. A balcony between cliffs that is unforgettable.
4. Morro del Bou
The most discreet, but with an interesting viewpoint: a protrusion of sea pushing its way through rocks as if driven from within.
5. Racó de l'Illot
Striking. Due to its height, verticality, and its position above the Moraig Fault, which explains part of the rugged landscape of the area.
6. Puig Llorença
The highest. 360º panoramic view of all the Marina Alta, Marina Baixa… and it is said that, on a clear day with binoculars, you can even see Ibiza.
7. Mirador del Poble
A beautiful glimpse of the town from the inside. Vineyards, the old town, and in the background, Bèrnia, Oltà, and Penyal d’Ifach cutting through the sky.
8. El Portalet
The simplest, but also one of the closest. Just a few meters from the town church, with a view of the countryside and the sea. Perfect for sunset.
