Snorkeling routes around Altea

You don't need to be an expert or have state-of-the-art equipment. Just the desire to look underwater and discover what can't be seen from the towel.

You may not know this, but Altea has something that makes it unique for snorkeling. There are four marked routes in the bay, designed so that anyone, with or without experience, can put on their goggles and snorkel without fear.

The starting points are at Cap Negret, Solsida, La Olla, and Mascarat. Each route has its own features, but all share calm waters, seagrass beds everywhere, and a visibility that captivates.

Behind these routes is the Greenwich Diving Dive Center, which together with the Serra Gelada Natural Park, the Coastal Ecology Institute, and the Altea City Council, has created a natural and educational underwater trail. The idea is to show what’s down there and help take care of it.

It’s not just an activity. It’s a different way to experience the beach. To connect with the sea truly.

What will you find?
