Enjoy the old town

The old town of Altea is one of the most prominent places in the town, and we are sure you will fall in love with it. There are entertainment venues, restaurants, and terraces that are ideal for enjoying a good time with family or friends. To get there, you can start from the Plaza del Convento and choose between two routes: la Cuesta Pont de Moncau or la Costera del Mestre de la Música. Both routes are beautiful and allow you to enjoy the culture and history of Altea.

If you want to visit the most recommended corners and streets of Altea, don't miss Salamanca Street, Calle Mayor, Santa Bárbara Street, Bonavista Street, and la plaça de L'Aigua or San Miguel Street. Additionally, from the historic center, you'll be able to enjoy spectacular panoramic views and the impressive Church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, characterized by its two glazed tile domes in blue and white, typical of the Mediterranean. Relax on its beaches

The Costa Blanca is known for its 8-kilometer-long coastline, where cliffs and small coves alternate with stretches of flat, rounded stone terrain. There is a wide variety of beaches where water activities such as kayak rentals, diving, or stand-up paddleboarding can be enjoyed, among others.

It is important to highlight that the beaches in Altea are pebble beaches, which provides an additional advantage: they are rarely crowded. Although the size of the stones varies at each beach, almost all offer services such as sunbeds, umbrellas, and lifeguards. Moreover, if you prefer more natural or even nudist beaches, you can also find small, less crowded coves.

Among the most notable beaches in Altea are:

• Playa de la Olla. Over a kilometer long, with clear waters and a great sense of tranquility. It also offers restaurants with magnificent views of the Peñón de Ifach.
• Playa del Cap Negret. A semi-urban beach with fine, comfortable gravel that you'll love for your activities in Altea for the whole family.
• Playa La Roda. The closest to the center, with many bars and restaurants. Its crystal-clear waters are wonderful.

Visit the San Miguel Arcángel Orthodox Church

Construction began in 2002, and today it can be visited for free and without restrictions.
