Hiking in the Costa Blanca: Benissa and its ecological walk
Enjoy a Benissa through an ecological trail that will take you to explore some of the most beautiful coves of Marina Alta and the province, such as the charming Cala Baladrar.
This route is suitable for all audiences, as it is very easy to walk and features explanatory panels that will help you better understand and appreciate our environmental heritage. At the end, you will realize how fortunate we are to live in such a privileged place as this.
The cliffs of Benitatxell: an astonishing hiking route in the Costa Blanca
On this occasion, we head north of Alicante province, specifically to the coast of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, known for its spectacular cliffs and beautiful crystal-clear waters coves. In recent years, this route has become very popular, and rightfully so: it is an easy option that offers great views and the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim in one of the last virgin coves of the province, Cala LLebeig, weather permitting, of course.
Due to the high number of visitors, we strongly recommend visiting outside of peak season and avoiding holidays or weekends. It is important to keep in mind that we are in a natural environment under high environmental pressure, so taking precautions is essential, such as not leaving trash, not damaging flora or fauna, and staying on the trail.
Peñón de Ifach, an impressive hiking route in the Costa Blanca
Peñón de Ifach is a surprising rocky formation of 332 meters located in the municipality of Calpe. From its summit, you can enjoy extraordinary views.
This imposing monolith is an icon of the Costa Blanca and a first-class landscape landmark. In 1987, it was declared a Natural Park, and today it is the most visited protected space in the Valencian Community.

If you want to do this hiking route in the Costa Blanca, you should keep in mind that it is divided into 2 difficulty segments: up to the tunnel is quite easy and recommended for children, but beyond this, it becomes more difficult, with ascents that will require the help of ropes or chains and some slippery rocks.
Another thing to consider is that you need to book your access through its website.
For all these reasons, and much more, undoubtedly, Penyal d'Ifac deserves a place on our list of hiking routes in the Costa Blanca to enjoy your vacations.
Faro de l'Albir route for enjoying hiking in the Costa Blanca
The Serra Gelada Natural Park is a must-visit for any nature lover, and its most popular trail is the pleasant and accessible walk to Faro de l'Albir, which we highly recommend.

This simple route starts at the visitor center in l'Albir and consists of a two-and-a-half-kilometer walk along an asphalted path suitable for all visitors. During the walk, you can enjoy spectacular views of Altea Bay, the surrounding mountains, and the iconic Penyal d'Ifac on the horizon. In short, an essential experience for any visitor to the area.
An awe-inspiring hiking option in the Costa Blanca: Cova Tallada
Cova Tallada is an impressive natural and artificial cave nestled on the cliffs of the Cap de Sant Antoni Marine Reserve, between Dènia and Xàbia. This destination has become very popular in recent years, especially in summer, which has raised concerns about overcrowding.

For this reason, we recommend visiting it outside of peak season and preferably on weekdays. It is important to access quietly, allowing the sound of the waves to be the only noise echoing in the high vaults of the cave. Listening in silence will help you discover the true treasure it holds.
