This is a tower built on the highest point of Cap d'Or, bordering and on the edge of the cliffs. This watchtower was erected in the 16th century, like many monuments in the area, and has a Renaissance architectural style.
It is 11 metres high and the purpose for which it was built can be easily seen. There was no door, so it could only be entered by means of a rope slung from the inside. It is undoubtedly one of the clearest examples of ancient constructions on the Mediterranean coast.
