The Queen's Baths

The Peñon de Ifach and the bay of Calpe have always been an admired and recurrent environment. Since ancient times, Calpe has been part of the history of the Costa Blanca. The Roman archaeological site on the coast of Calpe is the best proof of this. The Baños de la Reina (Queen's Baths) are an unmissable spot on our coastline. They are located in the shadow of the Peñón, next to a bay of calm and crystalline waters, drawing natural pools that are increasingly visited.

The Baños de la Reina can be divided into three parts. Firstly, there is the Roman vicus. Here you can see the architectural remains of a Roman villa full of luxuries more than 2,000 years ago. Secondly, there is the thermal complex of La Muntanyeta. These remains were discovered 30 years ago, where you can appreciate the Roman system of thermal baths. Lastly, there are the Roman nurseries. Six interconnected ponds that were excavated in the middle of the coast in a rectangular shape over a distance of more than 100 metres.

Undoubtedly, a unique and different place in which to enjoy... An unforgettable dip!
