Benissa Ecological Walk

Going for a walk along Benissa's long Paseo Ecológico has become one of the favourite activities of all those who visit this little piece of the Costa Blanca. And no wonder. From start to finish you will find landscapes straight out of a dream.

It is about 4 kilometres long, where you can find some of the best coves on our coastline, the best way to enjoy the sea and nature while you take care of yourself!

The Benissa Ecological Walk can be divided into two sections. The northern section and the southern section. In both cases the official starting point is the Benissa Playa Tourist Office on Avenida de La Marina. If you are going to walk the whole route, you will have to be prepared for a walk of just over two hours. So, it is ideal to start the day in contact with the sun or to enjoy incredible sunsets in company. Always in contact with the sea breeze.

If you are going to enjoy it in summer, you don't have to worry about the heat, during the route you can always make a stop to cool off in a cove or stop to rest in one of the places provided. So you can't be without your swimming costume. You don't have to worry about the difficulty of the route either, as we said, it is fully accessible. It is a very simple, comfortable and accessible route for the whole family. In fact, there are several wooden benches and picnic areas where you can get some fresh air and enjoy the incredible panoramic views.

The Ecological Walk has the distinction and certificate of Blue Trail, so its natural environment and safety is no surprise.

The northern section is the first two kilometres. Here you will first pass the fine Playa de la Fustera beach and then continue on to the wild Cala dels Pinets cove. From here, you could take a short detour to visit the Roques Negres. These are rock formations with a reddish tone and great geological value. The next coves you will come across are Cala de la Llobella, Cala Advocar and you will end the section at Cala Baladrar, a beach where the pine trees almost reach the sea.

The southern section is the closest to Calpe and offers great views of the Peñón de Ifach. You will pass by Cala de les Bassetes, a very special place of great ecological value thanks to its small protected reserve. As you can see, it is an experience that you have to live.
